What are the benefits of a personal member?

Exclusive for personal members:

  • Access to EPSO News – the bi-annual newsletter – an excellent source of information on EPSO activities, EPSO members’ activities, EU funding and national funds open to foreign applicants.
  • Eligibility for students and for New Member States’ scientists to apply for an EPSO conference support grant for an EPSO conference.
  • Discounted registration fee to EPSO conference.

More activities important to personal members:

  • Apply to participate in the EPSO workshops (restricted to EPSO personal and institutional members; travel and accommodation covered by member)
  • Access to members only information on the EPSO website (restricted to EPSO personal members from institutional members) – including research programme profiles and briefings, a fact collection and searchable database
  • Your profile and search the e-database of EPSO members (access restricted to EPSO personal members from institutional members)
  • Submit job adverts for publication on the EPSO website

Who can become a personal member?

EPSO offers membership to individual persons interested in plant science. This opportunity is open to all nationalities, professions, career stages and age groups worldwide.

Who decides about your application?

The executive director grants preliminary approval which has to be confirmed at the next board meeting.

Class of membership? 

The class for all personal members is P.

A small fee according to the career stage applies to individuals working in other institutes/universities:

  • Professionals are people working in their profession (this is not limited to scientists);
  • Post-docs are people with a PhD or Dr degree not working independently yet;
  • Students are PhD students approaching a PhD or diploma degree, and undergraduate students approaching a bachelor, Master or Diploma degree; and school students.

Professionals : 103 €
Post-docs :         62 €
Students :           42 €

The personal membership fee is waived for individuals working in EPSO member institutes or universities.
