International PhD Scholarships in Plant Gene Biotechnology Available

The International University of Adelaide ACPFG Scholarship (IUAAS):

The Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFG) in conjunction with The University of Adelaide is offering international PhD Scholarships (IUAAS) for exceptional students. Recipients receive AUD$28,000 per annum for three years and will have university tuition fees covered.

ACPFG recognises the importance of the next generation of scientists and so has a dedicated program for the training and support of PhD students. The University of Adelaide is a leader in Australian higher education and research and consistently ranks in the top 1% of universities in the world.

ACPFG is a world class research organisation that uses the latest gene biotechnology to investigate how crops like wheat and barley can better handle tough environmental conditions.  The centre’s aim is to deliver solutions to farmers and contribute to world food security.

The International University of Adelaide ACPFG Scholarship (IUAAS) is for outstanding students who meet certain English requirements. We seek first class graduates with a degree or diploma plus Honours or Masters in the following areas: agriculture, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioinformatics (computer science/mathematics), genetics, plant breeding, plant physiology, molecular biology or science.
