Lapland is both the largest and northernmost province in Finland with abundant wildlife. The time of the conference falls in the famous “Ruska” season – the time when the change of leaf, berry and mushroom color appears most beautifully in Lapland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXRYX-XD-QY )

Time zone

Finland uses Eastern European Time (EET); This is Central European Time (CET) + 1:00h or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) + 2:00h

How to get to Lapland

Step 1: Fly to Helsinki

Step 2: Connecting flight to Kittilä** (flight time:1.5 hrs) - Finnair tailored the flight schedule to your needs.

Step 3: After landing in Kittilä, enter the conference shuttle bus which will take you on a 45min drive from the airport to the venue. Please book the shuttle transfers (airport-conference venue-airport) in your online registration.

Step 4: Return flight from Kittilä: Take the conference shuttle bus from the conference center to the airport. As Kittilä airport is a small airport, you only need to check-in for departure 30 minutes in advance.

Alternative: Connecting flight to Rovaniemi and take individual transport to/from Olos, the conference center. 

Flights between Helsinki and Kittilä (EPSO shuttle to / from venue), and Rovaniemi (you arrange transport to / from venue)

Finnair will monitor the availability of seats for all  above mentioned flights and will adjust capacity. Should you encounter any problem, please contact us.
